Sometimes tears are shed as they are super competitive and can gang up on each other. It helps keep things chill and make it less of a personal attack!
In this game you are bank robbers who are going in for a heist. Right before you bust down the door some people get cold feet and everyone starts turning on each other.
The foam guns are really good quality. Once the shots are fired and all is revealed the loot is divided. It is played in a series of 8 rounds. This game is amazingly fun as a party game.
I play a lot of more serious board games and some serious strategy games, but sometimes you just want to joke around with some friends while pretending to point guns at each other!
I will note that I've played both the 1st and 2nd edition. The 2nd edition is worse because it introduced some new rules that in my opinion make the game less fun.
The good part is, you can play the 1st edition with the second edition print because the 2nd edition just added rules.
This creates a much more fun dynamic in my opinion and allows the game to be much more whimsical. My final recommendation for this game is one that my friend made to increase the energy of playing it.
Just stand up! It gets people moving and people get to have a lot more fun "getting into character" and pretending to threaten each other with foam guns Have fun!
I heard a lot about this game before I purchased it. However, what I heard was not what I got. The quality of the components are very good.
It comes with 8 foam guns, which are actually necessary believe it or not. You and up to 7 other players are part of the mob coming back from a heist and you are trying to figure out how to divvy up the loot.
Each round you have 8 cards face up and you're going to point your gun to potentially eliminate someone for that round. After some players are eliminated, or have surrendered, players go around clockwise and draft the cards from the loot.
The player with the most value in loot at the end of the game is the winner. The theme is fun, and the game play sounds like a fun time as well, especially with those foam guns.
It's just That's really the word for it. After the 3rd or 4th round of doing the same thing you kind of go But nothing ever comes. I'm certainly in the minority of these opinions, but it's not my cup of tea.
There are plenty of other party games out there that are engaging and can play up to 8 players as well. This one is just okay. This is a great party game.
Gameplay is generally less than an hour usually around 30 minutes. In short, it is a bluffing game where the objective is to get the most cash while staying alive - and you get foam guns!
It plays over eight rounds. In every round, a pile of loot cash, art, diamonds is put out in the center. Everyone has a stack of eight bullets - but only three are live, the other five are blanks.
You'll use one each round, but people won't know what you're firing. Simultaneously, every player is going to point their guns at each other - then anyone has a chance to hide get no loot, but no chance of being shot - then anyone still up reveals what bullet they fired.
Anyone shot by a 'live' bullet takes a wound and gets no loot, blanks do nothing. Three wounds and you're permanently dead.
Normally I hate player elimination, but the game is so short that it does not detract from the game! Anyone still standing distributes the look amongst themselves, then the next round begins.
That's the general rules - there are some minor tweaks, but that's generally how the game plays. The fun comes in the bluffing and arguing.
There is a lot of strategy in when to use your real bullets as opposed to your blanks, as well as when to hide as opposed to running the risk of being shot.
The quality of the components is excellent and, come on - you're pointing foam guns at each other! There are also "role" cards you can hand out that gives everyone a unique power, if you like.
All in all, it's a great party game that is always chaotic fun. This is one of the games I break out whenever I get new people who come to my game table.
It's incredibly simple to teach and you are up and running in under five minutes. The concept is great and there is just something extremely fun about the tactile feeling of pointing guns at each other that makes for round after round of fun play.
The guns are made out of foam and have orange tips, so it should be obvious that they are not real but they wonderful used in the context of the game.
I've played this one with co-workers, grandparents, teens, and adults. I make sure people aren't put off by the concept of pointing fake guns at each other first because I can understand where this could upset some.
See all reviews from the United States. Top international reviews. The only thing standing between you and untold wealth are the other players and one hell of a Mexican standoff!
That's exactly where the game puts you. It's after the heist and the only thing left to do is share the loot, the funny thing is bad guys don't share, bad guys point guns at each other.
You need to bluff and shoot your way to the biggest share of the loot whilst making sure you survive. The game takes place over 8 rounds, the richest player still alive at the end of the 8 rounds is the winner.
At the beginning of the game every player takes a character, 1 foam gun, 5 Click cards and 3 Bang!
Every round you will place 8 Loot cards face-up along with the Godfather first-player token. Each player then secretly chooses 1 of their bullet cards, either a Click or a Bang!
Simultaneously you will all point your guns at someone, then people have a chance to drop out from this rounds share of the loot in return for not taking damage, which can kill you.
The players left in reveal their cards bullets if it is a Bang! You repeat this for 8 rounds. There is not a huge amount of strategy or tactics here, this is a simple and fun game that brings out an atmosphere when you play it.
This game has been a massive hit at my gaming group and is never played just once, when we play it we will always have games. Thank you for your feedback.
Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again. The easy part has been done. You've cracked the safe, evaded the security, made it back to the hideout.
Now the hard work - splitting the loot You sit there, all of you, surrounding the money, the diamonds, the art. Tension is thick in the air, you know that one of your partners might actually want to eliminate you, so that their share gets bigger.
You know this, because you are thinking exactly the same thing So, looking carefully at everyone, you make a decision: are you going to take a shot, or are you going to shoot a blank?
Like everyone else, you've only got three bullets, and five blanks, so you have to choose wisely. You can only use a bullet or a blank once, so your pool of choices gets smaller as the "game" progresses.
Choose carefully, and keep your intentions hidden from everyone. Keep them guessing, right? The Godfather counts to three - this is it!
Everyone points their gun at someone, but no one knows whether they will also have a gun pointing at them - or if any gun has a bullet or blank.
Look closely at their faces - are they looking nervous? The Godfather counts to three again - this time, everyone has the choice of lying down.
This will allow them to dodge a shot, but it also means they won't be able to claim any of the loot in this round. Fortune only favours the bold, and since you only have one gun pointing at you, you decide to stay standing After all, you just did a job together Everyone who is still standing reveals their cards.
Did you shoot anyone? Were you shot by anyone? Anyone shot gets wounded one wound, and you are out of the round. Three wounds in total and you are out of the entire game!
If you survived getting shot, you go round in a circle, and take it in turns to claim the spoils. After eight rounds and if you survive , who ever has the most cash, diamonds and art will be the winner.
Previous relationships all get thrown out of the window, all that matters is the loot. With only three bullets, you have to be careful, and rely on your fellow crook.
Unless, of course, they are aiming their gun at you Decide when to stay in a round, and when to duck out.. Decide when to take the loot, and when to become the Godfather Decide when to shoot and when to bluff Great game for all the family you can use your fingers to point, if anyone didn't want to use the guns , and the scoring has enough depth to make it interesting cash is straightforward, art accumulates more value, the more you have, and the diamonds can result in a massive bonus if you have more than the other players.
It's fun, it's quick, it's simple. One person found this helpful. This is a great party game, we have played this lots since we got it and have even adapted it recently to include real loot at a party, one small real prize per round with a bigger prize for the winner which worked well.
Or are you shooting them? I regularly play games with a mixed group of people aged ish. After a few rounds, we were all over this game and played it for 3 hours straight.
Would recommend this to keen gamers or newbies looking to get into games. This is a great game with fantastic components!
The game plays at the table of a gang after they have done and robbery and are now splitting up the loot.
Each player is given a foam gun, 3 bullet cards, and 5 blanks cards. The loot is dealt to the middle of the table. Each player then plays a bullet or blank card face down in front of them which will determine whether they shoot or not.
The neat thing is that you will not get these cards back so if you fire your bullets in the first three rounds everyone knows you only have blanks left.
The next stage is where everyone points their guns at somebody else indicating who they would like to shoot, after this players get to decide whether they will stay in for the loot division, if they stay in and are shot by a bullet they go out and take a wound whereas if they go out at this stage they don't get loot but they don't take a wound.
Anybody who wasn't targeted or only received a blank and stayed in splits the loot between them. This continues until all the loot has been claimed and it's then counted up to see who wins.
If you take three wounds you are out, and there are various bonuses for taking different types of loot. All in all a fun game for 4 to 8 players.
It does work best with more players but four player games can work too with the right crowd. The difference being it is easier to die in a 4 player game.
For more advanced players there are character cards with special powers on too. Highly recommended. Load more international reviews. If you like games and have players this is definitely one to get, and is a good game to get people into gaming Bought for my friends birthday as he'd been eyeing this up for a while.
We've only had chance to play it once and I was dissapointed that it does allow for players to be eliminated fairly early which isn't something I particularly like in a game but other than that it was a fairly fun game and could happily play it again with a good group.
Only took a few minuets to learn the rules and we played for hours. I first herd of the game from Shut up and Sit down podcast A must for any board game fans and it is as good as they said, the expansion allows you to add more players but not mush more.
The base game is great making and braking alliances each round, taking revenge and bluffing your way to the end of the game for a share of the loot.
Bought this for a small class at my school of secondary ages pupils. As there are "guns" in it and they understand the premise of making some money illegally, it has gone down a treat!
It's made for a great laugh, brought some students together that don't usually get on, given them the chance to shoot the teacher etc.
It's longevity is pretty good too as they still request to play it every now and then. Worth the money and good fun. These are the things that the players will fight and scheme to get.
One player starts as the Godfather. The Godfather is responsible for going through the steps of each heist and making any judgment calls.
The Godfather also has a special privilege that I will talk about in a bit. Here are the steps for each heist:. If someone is too slow or if they try to change their target, they can be kicked out of the round no loot for you!
The Godfather then counts down from 3 again. Anyone who drops out cannot be shot, but that person also cannot get any loot.
If you stay in and are pointing your gun at someone else who stays in, you then reveal your bullet card.
A BANG means your target is wounded and knocked down. If your character gets three wounds during the game, you are out.
ALL bullet cards whether you used them or not are discarded. Starting with the Godfather, the standing characters choose loot cards.
